Window Cleaning Case Studies [Window Cleaning for Vinci Park]

Vinci Park approached us in 2010 to see if we could look at the practicality of providing an efficient window cleaning schedule for their West India Quay car park in London.

Very little comprehensive knowledge could be provided for any of their car park relating to height and access issues.

Spectrum carried out a full site survey for the car park that involved taking digital images of access to the roof, taking note of all potential radio frequency / telecoms aerial transmitters. Full site specific risk assessments were performed complete with method statements and safe systems.

The client was expecting to have to use abseiliers to access the windows, but where we have the latest reach and wash equipment which enables us to reach windows up to 90ft, we were able to offer the client 2 options; cleaning the windows with the abseil method and cleaning the windows with the reach and wash method. In our quotation we recommendation to choose the more cost effective reach and wash method over the abseiling method so that the client could have more cleans on a regular basis with the same budget.

A full window cleaning programme was presented to Vinci Park complete with information documented and as a result we have enjoyed and still enjoy a successful, close and happy relationship with Vinci Park ever since. We continue to manage their window cleaning programme and look forward to working them for years to come.
